ConvoAssist™ began with my grandmother.

As she grew older, I started noticing something during family gatherings. She slowly began stepping back from conversations. I could tell she wasn’t fully engaging the way she used to — and that was unusual for her. She had always been an extrovert.

Every time I visited, conversations seemed to become more difficult for her, and it was very frustrating and upsetting for her.

One day she jokingly said to me,

“You’re the doctor — you should find a solution.”

So I decided to try.

I built an early prototype for her, and I will never forget the first time she used it. In that moment, everything changed. It felt like I was speaking with the grandmother I remembered from decades earlier. She followed every word. She jumped back into conversations. And, best of all, her sharp, witty responses returned.

It was a beautiful moment for our family.

That first prototype worked, but it wasn’t perfect. It took time to set up, adjust the sound, and manage the charging. My grandmother quickly pointed out something important — if this was going to be truly beneficial, it needed to be extremely simple to use.

She told me it should work without complicated buttons, setup, or frustration.

So I redesigned the device with that goal in mind.

The final version of ConvoAssist™ was built exactly the way she wanted it: simple, intuitive, and effortless to use.

This device is a tribute to my grandmother and to the importance of staying connected to the people we love.

Today, our mission is simple:

To help people stay engaged in conversations and enjoy meaningful moments with family, friends, and the world around them.
