Terms of Service (Convo Assist)

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of Convo Assist’s website, products, and related services (collectively, the “Services”). By using the Services or purchasing any Convo Assist product, you agree to these Terms.

If you do not agree, do not use the Services.

1) Who We Are

Convo Assist provides a personal voice amplification system intended to improve conversational clarity in everyday environments. The product includes a receiver and wireless transmitter microphone(s), and supports analog headphone connection. 

2) Important Medical / Regulatory Disclosures (Read Carefully)

Not a hearing aid / not a medical device. ConvoAssist™ is a personal sound amplification product (PSAP) for general consumer use and is not designed, marketed, or approved as a medical hearing aid under FDA regulations. 

Not FDA approved. The product has not been evaluated or approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration as a hearing aid. 

No prescription required. Convo Assist products are offered for consumer use and do not require a prescription.

Designed by an ENT doctor. You have stated the product is designed by a top ENT doctor in the USA. (This statement is provided by Convo Assist.)

No medical advice. The Services do not provide medical advice. If you experience hearing loss, tinnitus, or difficulty understanding speech, consult a licensed professional (including an ENT specialist). 

3) Hearing Safety Warning (85 dB / 110 dB)

Convo Assist can reach high sound levels (up to 110 dB).   

Prolonged exposure to loud sounds (above 85 dB) may cause hearing damage, and using this device at high volume for extended periods may cause permanent hearing loss. 

To reduce risk:

  • Start at low volume and increase gradually. 

  • Avoid prolonged listening at high levels. 

  • Stop use immediately if you experience ringing or discomfort. 

  • Keep volume within safe levels, especially for children. 

You are solely responsible for using Convo Assist safely and at appropriate volume levels.

4) Proper Use (Overview)

General use guidance from the manual includes:

  • Clip the transmitter to the collar and point the microphone toward the sound source. 

  • Connect the receiver to your headphones using the 3.5mm analog output. 

  • If devices lose connection, you can re-pair by placing all units in the charging case briefly and removing them together (keep them close). 

Follow all instructions included with the product.

5) Product Care and Environment Warnings

You agree to use and store the product responsibly. The manual warns to:

  • prevent falling/collision and avoid disassembly,   

  • keep the product dry and avoid rain/moisture,   

  • avoid sources of heat/interference (radiators/ovens, etc.). 

  • use approved charging cables/accessories. 

6) Assumption of Risk

By purchasing or using Convo Assist, you acknowledge:

  • the product can output high volumes and misuse may cause harm, 

  • you assume all risks associated with use, including hearing discomfort or damage resulting from high volume, prolonged use, or improper operation.

7) Disclaimer of Warranties

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE SERVICES AND PRODUCTS ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

We do not guarantee uninterrupted operation or that the product will meet every user’s preferences or perform identically in all environments.

8) Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, CONVO ASSIST WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICES OR PRODUCTS.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, CONVO ASSIST’S TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO THE SERVICES OR PRODUCTS WILL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR THE PRODUCT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM IN THE 30 DAYS BEFORE THE EVENT THAT FIRST GAVE RISE TO LIABILITY.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so some of the above may not apply to you.

9) FCC Notice (If Applicable)

This device complies with Part 15 of the FCC Rules and is subject to the two conditions stated in the manual. 

10) Prohibited Use

You agree not to misuse the Services or product, including:

  • using the product in unsafe ways (including unsafe volume levels),

  • attempting to modify, disassemble, or defeat safety features,

  • using the website for unlawful activity, scraping, or interference.

11) Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The “Last Updated” date reflects the latest version. Continued use means you accept the updated Terms.
